About FriGeo

The Concept

FriGeo is a product and entrepreneurial business which provides tailor made solutions for the handling of aqueous masses and aquatic substrates. Through ground-breaking methods and the use of state-of-the-art technology, we work closely with our clients to provide an optimal solution to the challenge ahead.

Background

FriGeo was born out of a three-year business development project launched by The Environment and Space Research Institute (MRI) in Kiruna in 2000. The work was supervised by Luleå University of Technology in collaboration with Kiruna’s business development company, Progressum. Project funding came from Kiruna Municipality, EU Structural Funds and the Swedish Ministry of Enterprise, Energy and Communications.
